Each year our club has the privilege of sponsoring the
Central Iowa District Special Olympics Track and Aquatics Meet at the
Marshalltown High School. Athletes from over 25 different schools
and facilities located in Tama, Hardin, Story, Marshall, Poweshiek and
Jasper Counties participate in this day long event. Numerous Optimist
Club members volunteer their time and effort to ensure the success of the
event.
If you didn't get a chance to help out at the Special Olympics last year,
you really missed something special. Plan on helping out at the next event.
